Terms of Service

TERMS OF SERVICE

Please ensure you’ve read, understood, and accepted the following Terms of Service before booking with us.

PASSPORTS

All individuals departing from the United States must have a valid passport. Traveling without a valid passport or resident card is prohibited. It’s your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documentation, including passports and visas, that meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities at your destination. A state-issued identification card that meets federal security standards, such as REAL ID, is required for travel within the USA.

WE DO NOT CHECK PASSPORT EXPIRATION DATES: As the passport holder, it’s your responsibility to ensure your passport is still valid before traveling. Make sure you have at least six months of validity remaining after your return to the US. Apply for a new passport several months in advance.

You’re responsible for confirming the visa and other admission requirements with the United States Department of State or the representative government agency of your destination country. Any fines, penalties, payments, or expenditures incurred due to these documents not meeting the authorities’ requirements will be your sole responsibility.

CANCELATIONS, TRAVEL DATE CHANGES AND REFUNDS

Puentes Travel Services handles cancellations, travel date changes, and refunds. To cancel a reservation, the client must provide written notice. Verbal notices are not accepted. The cancellation date is the date the written notice is received by Puentes Travel Services. Cancellation terms vary and are always listed in the booking confirmation. With some exceptions, deposits are non-refundable. Refunds are subject to the supplier’s terms. Credit card refunds are issued to the credit card used for payment.

NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS

Some items are non-refundable, including airline tickets, cancellation penalties imposed by hotels, cruise lines, wholesalers, tour operators, and other providers, visa request fees, and any fees paid by Puentes Travel Services to a provider.

If an airline, tour operator, or other service provider cancels a flight or service, the refunds or credits available to the customer depend entirely on the provider’s terms and conditions. Some providers don’t offer cash refunds but instead issue credit vouchers for future use. Puentes Travel Services alone cannot issue refunds or credits for canceled services; it must follow the policies of the airlines and other providers.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is not included in the reservations. Puentes Travel Services recommends purchasing travel insurance to protect you and your investment against unexpected events. However, Puentes Travel Services is not an insurance company and doesn’t sell travel insurance. Puentes Travel Services has no responsibility for the representation, description of coverage, submission, binding coverage, payment, or adjustment of any insurance claims.

For any questions about the insurance policy or insurance claims related to the relevant travel insurance policy, contact the insurance company specified in the policy. The customer is responsible for notifying the insurance company before the travel date of any changes to the trip. These changes include, but are not limited to, price, destination, start, and end dates.

ADDITIONAL FEES

Additional fees may be payable at airports or hotels. Additional baggage fees may also apply. Please contact your airline or refer to its website for detailed information about their baggage policies.

  • A $25 non-refundable fee will be charged for any changes or revisions made after the initial deposit, in addition to any fees imposed by third-party suppliers for the changes or revisions.

  • We primarily accept payments via check, transfer, or cash. However, if a customer opts to pay using a credit or debit card over the phone, we may charge a 3% convenience fee. This same fee will be deducted from every credit card refund.

  • Additionally, a $100 non-refundable fee will be charged for each credit card transaction that is charged back.

RESERVATION CHANGES

Any alterations to a reservation may result in a change to the booked rate. For instance, if the number of guests booked at a hotel changes, the originally reserved promotional rate may be lost, and the reservation will then be subject to the current hotel rate at the time of the change.

SCOPE AND NATURE OF OUR SERVICE

Puentes Travel Services operates exclusively as a travel agent. We sell various travel-related products on behalf of numerous transport service providers, including hotels, tours, airlines, cruises, and rail.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Our services are limited to the products and services we sell. We are not responsible for any damages or losses incurred by our clients as a result of their use of these products or services. Our primary responsibility is to facilitate travel bookings and arrange relevant contracts between you and these service providers. However, we bear no liability for the services provided by these service providers, as we lack control or legal relationship over their personnel, equipment, operations, or property. Our service does not constitute or imply any endorsement or recommendation of the quality, service level, qualifications, or ratings of any Trip Provider (or its facilities, venues, vehicles, (main or ancillary) products, or services), except as explicitly stated or otherwise specified.

Puentes Travel Services is not responsible for the procedures, requirements, or processing times associated with visa processing at foreign consulates.

Please note that hotel requests are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for flight delays or for any changes made by airlines to your flight. All bookings are subject to the terms and conditions and limitations of liability imposed by the respective travel service providers. It is important to understand that any legal recourse should be directed towards the specific provider, not Puentes Travel Services.

Puentes Travel Services and its affiliates, officers, directors, successors, agents, and assigns do not own or operate any entity providing travel-related goods and services, including lodging facilities, airlines, vessels, motor coaches, and other transportation companies, guides or guide services, local ground operators, providers or organizers of optional excursions, food service providers, and so on. These individuals and entities are independent contractors and are not affiliated with Puentes Travel Services. You may see the name Puentes Travel Services on motor vehicles, signs around hotels, and other locations. This use of our name is solely for identification purposes and does not imply ownership, supervision, or control by Puentes Travel Services in any way.

Puentes Travel Services is not liable for any negligent or intentional act or failure to act by any travel service provider or third party. We are not responsible for any injuries, losses, deaths, inconveniences, delays, or damages to persons or property resulting from the provision of any goods or services, whether due to acts of God, force majeure, illness, disease, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolt, animals, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or other failures of airplanes or other transportation means, or any failure of transportation mechanisms to arrive or depart on time. If you are required to spend additional nights due to weather, flight schedules, or other uncontrollable factors, you will be responsible for your own hotel, transfers, and meal costs. Baggage is entirely at the owner’s risk.

Customer specifically agrees that Puentes Travel Services is not liable for any failure to meet our obligations if the failure is due to events beyond our control. If we fail to meet any of our obligations, we will only be liable for direct losses and not for any indirect or consequential losses. Our maximum liability to you shall not exceed the price of your reservation, unless otherwise stated by law.

CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS

If any travel service provider fails to provide the services for which you have contracted, your remedy lies against the provider, not against Puentes Travel Services. If you have made a payment to Puentes Travel Services by credit card, you agree not to seek a chargeback. If Puentes Travel Services incurs any costs, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, to recover any payments charged back, you agree to be liable for these costs. If a credit card is declined, you guarantee that you will settle any amounts owing to Puentes Travel Services immediately via money order or cash.

FLIGHT CONFIRMATION AND PLANE SEAT ASSIGNMENT

We strongly suggest that clients reconfirm exact flight times with the carrier before departure. Air travelers are required to check in at least 3 hours before domestic flights and 4 hours before international flights, and must report to the gate at least 1 hour before departure. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the seat to another passenger.

Airfare taxes and fuel surcharges are subject to change without notice until the payment is made in full and the air tickets are issued. Airfares may change without notice prior to e-ticket issuance. Fares may not be available on all flights and/or travel dates, and certain fares may only be available for new bookings.

If you want your group’s seats to be together, please inquire about the additional cost with the agent. Since the cheapest fares typically don’t allow you to select specific seats, many airlines don’t offer advance seat assignments for groups. While most airlines secure seat blocks for groups, they don’t assign passengers to specific seats until airport check-in.

GROUP TRAVEL PACKAGES

Each tour’s itinerary outlines the services included in the trip. Generally, a strict interpretation is required, leading to the conclusion that anything not explicitly listed as included in the tour price is excluded. The order of activities in the itinerary may change. Additionally, if an activity can’t be performed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the tour operator’s control, it will be replaced by another activity.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE RATES

U.S. and international arrival and departure fees, as well as other government-imposed charges. Port taxes, passports, visas, vaccinations, tips for your tour director, host, driver, local guides, and/or ships’ crew, gratuities on ferries, trains, and cruise ships, laundry, telephone, minibar, alcohol, beverages, and food outside the contracted menu at hotels or restaurants (these extra items will be billed before leaving the hotel or restaurant), optional excursions, airport transfers on non-qualifying flights, porterage at airports and train stations, travel insurance premiums, carrier baggage fees, and all other personal expenses are not included.

Hotels mentioned in the itinerary are merely samples used as reference. Special requests like elevators or air conditioning aren’t guaranteed in all properties. Even if a property has amenities like air conditioning or an elevator, their availability during your stay isn’t guaranteed. All rooms have a private bathroom and a TV. Some rooms also offer a mini-bar, a safe box, and a hair dryer. However, many European hotels lack air conditioning, or local laws restrict their use. There may also be slight variations in the quality of hotels in the same city. Due to narrow streets, buses may not always be able to park in front of the hotel, requiring passengers to walk a short distance with their bags. Additionally, hotels where groups stay are often located outside the city center in several cities.

Please note that standards, bed sizes, and room dimensions can vary between hotels of the same class, even within the same country. Some hotels don’t offer triple rooms, instead providing standard rooms based on twins or double beds with an extra bed, which could be a camp-bed style or a sofa-bed. Cruise ships typically have triple rooms composed of two twin beds and one bunk bed. We don’t recommend a triple room unless you’re traveling with kids, as the space can be cramped. Most European hotels don’t allow more than three people, including minors, per room. If you’re traveling in a family of four with kids under three, consider booking two bedrooms. There are usually limited triple bedrooms in each hotel, and on rare occasions, you might need to use a double and a single room instead. Booking a triple room means you agree to these conditions.

HEALTH AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

It’s your responsibility to be aware of any health requirements for your travel destinations and ensure you carry all necessary vaccination documentation. Please inform the airline, hotel, or service provider of any special requirements you may have, such as special meals or medical needs.

Governments and local officials may implement travel requirements related to diseases. Keep in mind that these requirements are frequently updated and can change rapidly, so we recommend checking the country, city, and state websites before your trip for the most current information. Additionally, airlines, transportation services, entertainment companies, tour operators, and hotels may implement preventative measures to reduce the spread of diseases. Tourism and transportation service providers often have information available online regarding their policies. It’s crucial to stay updated with the most current information since protocols, measures, and restrictions are constantly evolving.

Please be advised that Puentes Travel Services only acts as your travel agent. Therefore, Puentes Travel Services is not responsible for the acts or omissions, protocols, restrictions, or measures applied by any country, city, state government, airport, hotel, tour operator, transportation services, hotels, or any other individual or company. By booking with Puentes Travel Services, you acknowledge, understand, appreciate, and agree that your participation in any travel may result in possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases, including, but not limited to, MRSA, Influenza, and COVID-19. While actions may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist. By traveling, you knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of others, and assume full responsibility for your participation and exposure.

PHOTOGRAPHS & MAPS

All photographs and videos displayed on the site are for informational purposes only and may not accurately represent the actual item category purchased. The maps shown on the site are also for informational purposes only and provide approximate locations and attractions, not precise details.

REFUSAL OF SERVICE

Puentes Travel Services does not hold any liability for the actions of service providers who refuse service. Service providers have the sole discretion to refuse service to travelers, including if the traveler lacks proper documentation for the destination country, has a contagious disease, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or narcotics, or exhibits disruptive or unruly behavior.

POLICIES ON PICTURES

As soon as you board a plane or enter another provider’s facility, you’re in a private space and must adhere to the rules of the airline or provider, regardless of your awareness of them. The client must confirm with the airline or other providers their policies on photography and video on board airplanes or in other private spaces. Some airlines and providers have policies prohibiting filming other passengers or company personnel, using any voice or audio recording or transmission while on an aircraft or in private spaces, photography or video recording of company personnel, other customers, aircraft, or equipment or procedures, and company monitors. Additionally, some airlines and providers have internal policies that allow employees to stop passengers from taking photographs or filming at their discretion.

JURISDICTION

These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
